About

My work is inspired by my deep connection with the natural world and the ebb and flow of nature’s fruition. I am particularly inspired by organic forms from both land and sea such as cones, seed pods, urchins and anemones. My forms are made by the press moulded, pinching and coiling techniques of clay fabrication. Surface texture is achieved through impressed, sprigged, and raised decorative techniques. My work is stoneware fired and reflects a random freeness created by both colour and texture within the glaze effects.Forms convey both a visual and tactile experience and my larger scale pieces are designed to work within the natural environment.
