Jon Clayton

About

Jon graduated with a degree in Creative Arts from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1986, before working briefly as an artist and illustrator. He worked as a primary school teacher in the early 1990s then after some years as a class teacher, continued in education as an Arts Specialist. For the past ten years he has been teaching and delivering workshops for children and adults of all ages, both within and outside the teaching profession.

Jon has undertaken a wide range of commissions and have recently started selling through galleries and exhibition as well as online.

Work in this ‘Land marks in Time’ exhibition is a mix of Jon’s collaged drawings from around the Sandstone Trail and farmland of Cheshire and, in contrast, the foothills of Cader Idris in mid-west Wales, an area he is very familiar with and returns to often.
