Almaz

Music @Gallery 1 presents

A musical journey through time with

Almaz

Frequent performers at our Monthly Musical Monday Sessions Almaz will host an intimate evening of Jazz & Blues in Gallery One on 13th July

Discovered busking at Nantwich Jazz & Blues Festival last year and invited to perform on the ‘Introducing Stage ‘ Almaz have been busy making an impression with their unique style of 1930’s songs.

Think Chet Baker & T-Bone Walker meet a troubled Moll in a prohibition Juke Joint and you might imagine a voice full of soul paired with dynamic and engaging guitar.

Almaz have been busy making an impression with their unique style jazz and blues covers matched perfectly with this Songwriting Duo’s own self-penned tracks.

Their Jazz is heavily influenced by sounds of Chet Baker & Ella Fitzgerald whereas their Blues lends dynamically toward T-Bone Walker & Etta James. The duo delight with a mix of relaxed and upbeat songs of old and new.

Performing tracks from their Debut Album, Shut The Door (Behind you when you Leave) Due for release in July, Almaz will take you on a musical journey through time with stripped back big band notables from The Great American Song Book. Cole Porter, Gershwin played with a style and grace befitting of them and blended with a mix of T-Bone style prohibition Blues which will keep you hooked until the final chord is played.
