In my journey as an artist over many years, I have a visual diary capturing the essence of my thoughts, emotions and observations that surround me. Each piece of artwork is a narrative, meticulously woven from the threads of my imagination, personal experience, anda strong connection with the environment. My art is not confined to a single medium or a specific subject, but varies from surreal to still life, abstract, landscapes, theme, natural forms, analytical, collage, and mixed media.

Over many years of travelling around the world I have taken thousands of photographs of different subjects which have caught my eye, be it red post box full of graffiti, a rusting piece of metal, flora or landscape etc. It is the colours, textures and shapes which interest me.

On returning to the UK I download the photos and sift through them to see which has the most potential for a piece of my artwork. Some of my paintings have been based on my experiences of living in the Australian outback when I was very young. Even today some of the images are still quite strong with vast open spaces, full of rich colours and textures. As you may observe when viewing my artwork it is rather precise and detailed.

I work in most mediums, acrylics, gouache, oil pastel, graphite, polychromos coloured pencil, water colours, mixed media and collage. As an artist, my aspiration is to get the viewer to look closely at my paintings, not just to pass by, and to appreciate how things can be taken from a 3D view and placed into 2D view in the form of a painting.
