With the company of sweet natured animals as pets, making their portraits came naturally.  The regularity of this drawing and painting changed as time allowed, and I now do commissions for pet portraits as a hobby. The pastel medium lends itself well to the softness of the fur and fair colours influenced by the ambient light.  A soft realism with gentle lighting (without falling into photorealism) is what I look to achieve.
