Peak District Artisans
This is a unique opportunity to see the cream of Peak District artistic talent when 24 members of The Peak District Artisans hold their first exhibition at Castle Park Arts Centre from 19th February to 29th March 2020.
This select professional group, which has been in existence since 1991 and has the Earl of Burlington as it's patron, will be exhibiting a wide variety of work; Art ranging from oil paintings to egg tempura, silk painting, pastel, mixed media and fine art photography and artisan craft including ceramics, jewellery, hand blown glass and woven willow.
A series of workshops run by members will accompany the exhibition; two opportunities to learn about 'Beginners Photography' with Ian Daisley, 'Make a simple frame Basket' by Rachel Evans of Wheatcroft Willow, two workshops - 'Fabulous Flowers' and 'Abstract Architecture' by Pam Smart, 'An Introduction to Knife Painting' by Sarah Morley and 'An Introduction to Abstract Painting' by Lin Cheung. Open evening to meet the artists is on 21 February 2020 7 - 9 pm
