Acrylics and Mixed Media - Rural and Urban Landscapes

DATES: Tuesday evenings 7-9pm – June 11th to July 30th (5weeks – not on 18th June & 9th and 16th July)

Location: Gallery 2, Castle Park Arts Centre, Frodsham, WA6 6SE

Cost: £20 per session pay as you go or £100 total for all 5 weeks (payable at first session)

Level: Ideal for beginners or more advanced levels.

This class will be taking a look at rural & urban landscape painting from beginner stage to more advanced levels using acrylics and mixed media techniques to create paintings from either sketches, studies or photographs.

The outline schedule for the workshop will include:

Wk 1 – Introduction to working with Acrylics & Mixed media including colour mixing, monoprinting, collage, creating textures and mark making using acrylic mediums and paints
WK 2 – Composition sketches & studies, graphical elements & perspective
WK 3&4 – Work on one or more paintings of your choice using studies, sketches or photographs
WK 5 – Completing/finishing your chosen painting(s), followed by critique & review

All materials & equipment will be provided. Free parking & Coffee/tea.
Please bring reference photos, studies or sketches and a table easel if you have one.
Attendees are also free to bring their own materials/equipment to use during the class.
