The Eddisbury Artists is a group of artists from North West Cheshire who meet together throughout the year on a Thursday evening to draw and paint and to develop their artistic skills and interests.
During the winter months, between September and April, the group meet in Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, its “home base” since 1996, and follow a programme of life and figure drawing/painting, portraiture and still life. Each evening session is organised in turn by one of the members. For the life drawing sessions professional models are used.
In the summer months, between May and August, the group uses outdoor venues in North West Cheshire. There are occasional one-day visits and in the past these have included Conwy, Tatton Park, the Lake District, the Beeston Castle area, Walton Hall and Arley Hall.
The members vary in their experiences and use a wide range of media which contribute to the Group’s diversity and allow for a stimulating exchange of ideas.
