Pastel and Mixed Media workshop with Les Darlow Dec 2022

Come and join me for the last workshop this year at Castle Park. It will be popular, fun and informative. I promise. I’ll teach you about composition, values and colour temperature, tonalism and explain my simple formula for creative stunning land and seascapes. Focus on a wintery festive theme.

Learn about Simplifying your subject to concentrate on mark making, texture, energy and movement and how to paint what you want to see not what you see.

Pastels and papers supplied, but if you have pastels you can bring your own too as colours are limited.  You will need to bring watercolour or inks etc for the underpainting/brushes, palette, waterpot and an old towel to cover the desk.

Bring a desk easel, drawing board and masking tape.

PLEASE BRING 1 sheet of cold press water colour paper

You will need to bring your lunch and refreshments although there is a cafe at the Arts Centre.   Tea and coffee will be supplied.
