About

I am primarily a landscape painter based in South Manchester. I paint in response to my feelings about my surroundings. Wales in particular is a constant source of inspiration especially along the coast, the valleys and mountains. Sketches and photographs provide additional reference material for my painting process. I work mainly in acrylics but love to experiment with different media and explore all the possibilities. This can trigger my imagination and often leads me towards abstraction. I paint because I love to do so. If someone else likes my work that’s an added joy. I have exhibited in many open art exhibitions including Castle Park, Buxton Spa Prize, Green Man in Buxton, Stockport, Technically Brilliant in Warrington, Inch Arts in Altrincham, Harbour Gallery in Conwy Wales. I have also exhibited at Stockport Art Guild, Goose Green Art Gallery Altrincham, the Parsonage in Didsbury and currently exhibit with Altrincham Society of Artists and Easel online gallery for Manchester Art Fair. Some of my paintings now reside in different parts of the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, the Pelion in Greece and Crete.
