Castle Park Arts Centre adopts a Digital Strategy

Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham is delighted to announce that with the help of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund funded by the UK Government providing a grant of £27,900 to support its new Digital Strategy for the Arts Centre.

In February 2023, a decision was taken by its Board of Trustees and Arts Committee to look at future plans to enhance the offerings at the Centre following the extension of its lease for the next 10 years in 2022. One of the key aspects highlighted was to embrace the use of digital technologies with a view to improve its many offerings and facilities for the thousands of visitors and users of the centre each year.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has enabled us to provide sitewide Free WiFi for our users and visitors. It has also enabled us to invest in digital equipment such as TV’s, projectors and projector screens, music, videography and photography equipment which will provide usable resources for artists, teachers, presenters, students and community groups that frequently make use of our spaces. It is envisaged that this will enhance educational and social engagement activities at the Centre whilst also facilitating more digital and contemporary art exhibitions in the future.

We have already commenced our first phase of the project and hope to complete the full installation by February 2024.
