Jo Moss's Art Group

The paintings and drawings on display are the work of members of Jo Moss’s art class, a vibrant and creative group based in Weaverham. The group meets on Monday mornings at the Sea Scout Hall, providing a welcoming space to share ideas, and develop their artistic skills. Originally formed at Mid Cheshire College in Hartford, the group has grown into a diverse and supportive community. Its members range from beginners to more experienced artists, creating a dynamic environment where everyone can learn from one another and explore their individual artistic journeys. The group is characterised by its enthusiasm and passion for art, with members eager to experiment, exchange ideas, and continually evolve their creative practices. The works on display reflect inspiration drawn from both historic and contemporary artists. Through these influences, members have explored new approaches to composition, experimented with colour palettes, and worked with a variety of media to expand their artistic horizons. Since the group’s inception, painting and drawing have been at the heart of what we do. Over the years, we’ve adapted and flourished, building a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual encouragement. Although we no longer meet at the college, our love of art has kept us united. We’ve found a new home at the Sea Scout Hall, where we continue to nurture our shared passion and inspire one another to create and grow as artists.
