 My paintings respond to the natural voices of the landscape, the stories they tell both old and new inspire me.

I hope to share through my work the environment’s stories. Searching for the inspiring light and dark through the seasons, capturing dancing colour in immense skies and vast stretches of water.

I am inspired to convey movement, space, boundaries, scars, time and impressions of place and my travels into my work.

 I believe everyone sees differently. The painting process offers the freedom to celebrate all we see. In some of my work I have concentrated on mark making to reflect the complexity of an experience. In others I have chosen to build up layers mirroring the physical processes at work in the environment. I also very much enjoy creating representational pieces.

 Working with all painting and drawing mediums, textiles and print provides great pleasure and creates new challenges every time.
