Judges Winner

Rural Retreat by Ronnie Drillsma

An original and imaginative technique with subtle colours, texture and tone, sympathetically framed, excellent overall presentation and execution.

Highly Commended

Still life with peppers by Derek Corlett

Commended by Jenny Holland.  A good composition, beautifully calming and uncluttered with a skillful handing of the medium.

Marathi by Alison Kippax

Commended by Val Kosh.  Alison’s painting called to me immediately. The mark making and tonal quality create a wonderful atmospheric composition.  I love the heavenly blues, the light, the air, the waves hitting the rocks and the sea spray.  Alison’s work is brave, fresh and dynamic.

Summer Blues by Ann Johnson

Commended by Jenny Barker.  This painting has a sense of visual breathing space, that allows the viewer to be contemplative.  There are some wonderful simple gestural mark making qualities in this piece that draws you in and creates a calming atmosphere.
