Masterclass Portraiture painting in oils with Midge

Every Tuesday evening 7-9pm

Location: Gallery 2 at Castle Park Arts Centre. Free parking

Cost: £15pp for each session.  All materials provided. 

This class provides an introduction to portraiture painting with oils/watermixable oils. It will caters for beginners to more advanced levels.

This course includes : 

  • Preparing supports for painting and learn about oil mediums used for oil painting

  • Preparing a grisaille underpainting/oil sketch

  • Learn techniques for painting facial features 

  • Elements for design and composition

  • Colour mixing theory, glazing etc

  • Explores different painting techniques/styles

  • Step-by-step guide from beginning to finishing a portrait of you choice
